Thank you for joining me. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time. I think it's important to open the lines of communication. As neighbors we need to come together. I know when I first moved in here and things started happening to me that seemed unethical, illegal or just plain wrong. I like many of you would go to the office to try and get the issue resolved. But that never seems to be the case, and not only would they not try and resolve the problem, they were often rude and unprofessional.
I am just going to give you the short version of what has happened to me, I will go into greater detail at another time. Otherwise this would read like "War and Peace." In the three years I have lived here this is what has happened to me.
-$8000 worth of damage done to my car
-laundry stolen
-mail stolen(once by the office manager)
-no hot water for weeks
- no elevators for weeks
-repairs are never taken care of in a timely matter
-rental increase 28% in one year from $1202 to $1539
- inconsistent rental ledgers that are hundreds of dollars over what I actually owed
-I had ordered a water testing kit almost a year ago but it was sent back 3 times. I finally actually got it today. But only after the water company removed all of their info from it and hand addressed it to me.
-the water is contaminated and there is black mold. You probably don't see it but just ask the fire dept. They can show you where it has just been repeatedly painted over to try and conceal it.
-I am still being charged for parking even though they kicked me out back in March
These are just the highlights there have been several other times The Vue has violated my rights as a tenant. They have even gone as far as try to bully me out. I just can't prove it, yet.
For any of you that don't already know who JRK Property Group is although they are now going by their new DBA Two coastal whatever. They are a huge company who owns properties all over the country. And what is happening to people here is happening at many of their other locations all over the US. I have attached a couple of links of a few of their recent highlights in the news. These guys are slumlords of the highest caliber and hopefully if we can all come together we can join in the fight with several other states in holding them responsible for their actions.
